Kiara J discovered her love for photography through the viewfinder of a disposable camera at the age of 6. As her grandmother handed her the developed photos from her first holiday shoot, she realized her life’s purpose would be to freeze time and allow moments to live forever. After years of building a reputation as the family photographer, Kiara J went on to study black and white photography at Columbia College Chicago. There, she mastered developing photos in the dark room before transitioning to digital photography. Soon after, she accepted a position as a Newborn photographer, expanding her experience with photographing a wide range of subjects. Today, she is focusing her lens on creators, families and celebrations throughout the Chicagoland area to help people frame the beauties found in their life’s journey.
